Samuel K. Trifiletti

Amherst-Samuel K. Trifiletti, 70, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Samuel was born to his loving parents, Charles Anthony and Frances Mae (nee Preston), on January 9, 1955 in Amherst, OH. He was a graduate of Admiral King High School, Class of 1973.

He married the love of his life, Sheila (nee Lesko) on September 15, 1979. Sam owned Trifiletti’s Service Station for 45 years where he worked as an auto technician. He enjoyed drag racing, Cleveland sports teams, and Ohio State Football.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Sheila Trifiletti; sister, Linda Marie (Charles) Yerico; brother, Charles Paul (Charlene) Trifiletti; sister-in-law, Jolynne Trifiletti; children, Samantha (Jeff Schwarz) Trifiletti and Shawn Trifiletti; and grandchildren, Emma Mae Schwarz and Owen Michael Schwarz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Anthony and Frances Mae Trifiletti; and brother, Ronald William Trifiletti.

The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain, OH on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, November 15 at 9:30 AM, Pastor Chuck Behrens, officiating. Christian burial services will immediately follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst, OH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Samuel’s memory to the Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Rd. Elyria, OH 44035.
