Lorain, Ohio
Louise A. DeNardo, born on the 26th of December, 1939, in charming Liberty Borough, Pennsylvania, was a woman of extraordinary grit and spirit. Louise found her calling early in life and dedicated herself to the noble profession of nursing, bringing comfort and care to countless lives in her community.
Louise was a proud graduate of St. Peter's High School class of 1957 in her hometown of McKeesport, PA. Her thirst for knowledge and passion for helping others led her to McKeesport Hospital Medical School, where she graduated in 1960. Her career was marked by tireless service at Lorain Community Hospital and Amherst Hospital in Ohio, where she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit.
Louise was not just a dedicated healthcare professional; she was a woman of diverse passions. She loved to crochet scarves and afghans or cross-stitch quilts for her family members. She also loved to watch Steelers football, Penguins hockey, and NASCAR, especially when her favorite driver, Rusty Wallace, was racing, all the more if she could do so with a bucket of chicken from KFC and a slice of watermelon in her home filled with bells and flowers. Louise's life was simple, but filled with kindness, love, and service.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.
Louise is survived by her loving children, Pamela (Charles) Foerstner, Nicholas DeNardo III, and Dominic DeNardo; grandchildren, Brittany (Andrew) Jenkins, and Caitlin (Joshua) Blaylock, and Niko DeNardo; and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Valentine and Ann (nee Stegner) Sobolewski; and her sisters, Diana Johnson and Patricia Kubisiak.
