Lorain, Ohio
Kimberly A. Lumpkin passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, in Lorain, Ohio, at the age of 59.
Born on November 17, 1965, in Enfield, Connecticut moving to Lorain in 1981 where she resided the remainder of her life. After graduating from Admiral King High School in 1983, Kimberly embarked on a life dedicated to service and care. She found her calling in various roles, from being a cleaner at KTS to providing nurturing childcare. Her dedication to work was matched only by her love for the simple pleasures of life, such as assisting customers at Apple’s and ensuring the smooth operation of the Lorain's Cigarette Outlet.
Kimberly's enthusiasm for life was most palpable when she indulged in her favorite pastimes. An avid BINGO player, she could often be found in the local halls, dauber in hand, ready to claim victory with a gleeful shout. Bowling nights were a treasured ritual, where she would showcase her skill and friendly competitive spirit. Yet, it was in the company of her beloved family that Kimberly truly shone. She was the heart and soul of family gatherings, often taking the lead in planning and orchestrating memorable parties that would be talked about for years to come.
She is survived by her sons, Merrill “Butchie” (Chanda Wilson) Lynch III, and Jonathan Lumpkin; grandsons, Austin J. Lynch, Christian D. Lynch, and Branden Wilson; siblings, Cheryl (Shane) Arrowsmith, Gary (Joyce) Skarzynski, Christine (Claude) Blacksher, John (Tina) Skarzynski; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews in Connecticut and Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Shirley Skarzynski.
The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
