Charlene F. Sinegar

Lorain- Charlene F. Sinegar, 79, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville, Ohio.

Charlene was born in Elyria, Ohio on January 12, 1947. She graduated from Elyria Catholic High School, Class of 1965. Charlene worked at Elyria Memorial Hospital in dietary for 44 years. She was also a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. Jr. and Eileen F. (nee Lescher) Sinegar; siblings, John A. III, Cheryl Riffle, and James M.; infant sister, Sharon Rose; and daughter-in-law, Susan Thoroughman.

She is survived by her son, Michael Thoroughman; and sisters, Karen (Eugene) Abel and Marybeth (Rex) Smith.

The family will receive friends at St. Agnes Catholic Parish, 611 Lake Ave., Elyria, OH on Thursday, October 22, 2026 for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Fr. Charles J.
