Catherine Renee (Easterwood) Slaus Obituary (1944

Catherine Renee Slaus Lorain-Catherine Renee Slaus, 77, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her home with her loving family by her side. Catherine was born on July 20, 1944 to her parents, Allen Dale and Laura Catherine (nee Griffin) Easterwood in Lorain, OH. She was a graduate of Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst, OH. She married her husband on July 31, 1965. She worked as a medical transcriptionist for Elyria Memorial Hospital and St. Joseph Community Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Lorain, OH. Catherine enjoyed reading, "SKI"ing at casinos, spending time with her kids, bowling, and loved plum wine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Laura Easterwood; husband, Dale R. Slaus; brothers, Allen and Terry Easterwood; grandson, Adam Rector; and daughter-in-law, Angie (nee Young) Slaus. She is survived by her children, Cathy Albrecht, Nancy Slaus, and Dale Slaus; grandchildren, Alex Albrecht, Ashlie (Jason) Fawcett, and Angela Albrecht; great-grandsons, Sawyer and Hudson Fawcett; and nieces and nephews.
